Alfredo Chedraui Obeso is a Mexican businessman who serves as chairman and co-founder of Grupo Comercial Chedraui, one of Mexico's largest retail chains. The company traces its roots to a small store founded by his grandparents, Lebanese immigrants, in Xalapa, Veracruz, and has since grown into a major supermarket and hypermarket operator across Mexico and the United States. Chedraui is based in Veracruz and is part of the family that controls the majority of the company's stock.
