Terms of Service
Last updated 1 January 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of YachtAhoy (the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Use of the Service
You may use the Service only in compliance with these Terms and all applicable laws. You agree not to misuse the Service, including by attempting to disrupt it, scrape it at scale without authorisation, circumvent access controls, or resell data except as permitted by your subscription plan.
2. Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorised use. You must provide accurate information and be at least 18 years old to create an account.
3. Subscriptions & billing
Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis through our payment provider, Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You may cancel at any time; the cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law.
4. Data & accuracy
The Service aggregates information from public and open-source records, including AIS broadcasts, registries and sanctions lists. We provide this data "as is" for informational purposes only. It may be incomplete, delayed or inaccurate, and must not be relied upon as the sole basis for legal, financial, compliance or navigational decisions.
5. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design and compiled datasets, is owned by YachtAhoy and protected by intellectual-property laws. Your subscription grants a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service; it does not transfer ownership of any part of it.
6. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure or error-free.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, YachtAhoy shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or data, arising from your use of — or inability to use — the Service.
8. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with an updated date. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
