Built for John Orin Edson

John Orin Edson (1932–2019) was an American entrepreneur and businessman best known as the founder of Bayliner Marine Corporation, which he built into one of the world's largest recreational boat manufacturers after acquiring the brand name in 1960. He later became majority shareholder of Westport Yachts, a custom yacht builder based in Washington State. Edson was also a noted philanthropist, establishing the J. Orin Edson Foundation to support education and healthcare causes.
