Claus-Peter Offen is a German shipowner who founded Reederei Claus-Peter Offen in Hamburg in 1971, which grew into the Offen Group, one of the largest containership owners in Germany. The company charters and manages a large fleet of container vessels and has ranked among the top owners of post-panamax containerships worldwide. Offen later passed leadership of the company to a new generation of management.
