Edward S. Lampert is an American investor and hedge fund manager who founded ESL Investments in Greenwich, Connecticut, in 1988. He is best known for his involvement with Sears Holdings, having served as its chairman and later chief executive officer during a prolonged retail restructuring, and he founded the successor company Transformco. His estimated net worth is approximately $2.0 billion.
