Estate of Leonardo Del Vecchio
Leonardo Del Vecchio (1935–2022) was an Italian businessman who founded the eyewear company Luxottica in 1961 and served as its chairman, building it into the world's largest producer and retailer of glasses and frames. In 2018 Luxottica merged with the French company Essilor to form EssilorLuxottica, of which he was the largest shareholder through his holding company Delfin. His estimated net worth was around $22 billion.
