Estate of Majid Al Futtaim
Majid Al Futtaim (1934–2021) was an Emirati businessman who founded the Majid Al Futtaim Group, a Dubai-based real estate and retail conglomerate, in 1992 after splitting from the wider Al Futtaim family business. The company is best known for developing the Mall of the Emirates and for holding the exclusive franchise to operate Carrefour hypermarkets across the Middle East, North Africa, and Central Asia. At the time of his death in December 2021, his net worth was estimated at approximately $4 billion.
