Gary Chouest
Gary Chouest is an American businessman and <cite index="3-1">the owner and president of Louisiana-based Edison Chouest Offshore, which owns more than 200 offshore vessels for the oil & gas and wind power industries.</cite> <cite index="3-2">The firm was founded by his father, Edison Chouest (d. 2008), in 1960.</cite> <cite index="3-3">Besides the vessels, it also owns shipyards and ports in Brazil, Florida, Louisiana and Mississippi.</cite> <cite index="3-4">He also owns a stake in Louisiana-based shipbuilder Bollinger Shipyard Group, which makes vessels for the U.S. Coast Guard.</cite>
