George Lindemann
George Lyle Lindemann (1936–2018) was an American businessman who built a fortune through cable television, cellular telephony, and natural gas infrastructure. He founded the cellular company Metro Mobile, which he sold to Bell Atlantic in 1991, and later served as chairman and chief executive of the natural gas pipeline company Southern Union. His estimated net worth was approximately $3.3 billion, and he was also a noted art collector and patron who served as a vice president of the Metropolitan Opera Association.
