Jaime Botin
Jaime Botín-Sanz de Sautuola y García de los Ríos (1936–2024) was a Spanish banker, investor and member of the Botín family long associated with Banco Santander, where his father and brother served as chairmen. He was the founder and longtime chairman of Bankinter, which he led from its creation in 1965 and chaired from 1986 to 2002, and he was also the founder of the insurer Línea Directa Aseguradora. His estimated net worth was around $1.8 billion, held largely through the family holding company Cartival.
