Kerry Stokes is an Australian businessman and philanthropist, born in Melbourne in 1940. He is the chairman of Seven Group Holdings, a diversified conglomerate with interests spanning media, construction equipment, mining services, energy and property, and is also chairman of Seven West Media, which operates the Seven Network and The West Australian newspaper. He was appointed a Companion of the Order of Australia in 2008 and is known for his philanthropy supporting veterans, the arts and cultural institutions. His estimated net worth is around $9.0 billion.
