King Mohamed VI of Morocco
Mohammed VI is King of Morocco, having ascended to the throne on 23 July 1999 following the death of his father, King Hassan II. Born in Rabat in 1963, he is a member of the Alaouite dynasty and serves as Morocco's head of state, with constitutional authority over the government, military, and religious institutions as Amir al-Mu'minin (Commander of the Faithful).
