Leonid Mikhelson
Leonid Viktorovich Mikhelson is a Russian businessman, born in 1955, who serves as chairman, CEO and largest shareholder of Novatek, Russia's largest independent natural gas producer. He also holds a major stake in the petrochemicals company Sibur, and trained as an engineer before building his business in the gas pipeline and energy sector after the collapse of the Soviet Union. An art collector, he founded the V-A-C Foundation, which promotes contemporary Russian art, and his estimated net worth is around $24 billion.
