Matthaios Rigas

Matthaios (Mathios) Rigas is a Greek businessman and petroleum engineer who is the founding shareholder and Chairman & CEO of Energean, an oil and gas exploration and production company he founded in 2007. Before establishing Energean, he spent over two decades in investment banking and private equity, including working with J.P. Morgan in London before founding the Greek private equity fund Capital Connect. Under his leadership, Energean grew from a small single-asset operator into a multi-country exploration and production platform.
