Mehmet Sepil
Mehmet Sepil is a Turkish entrepreneur who co-founded Genel Energy in 2001 with fellow businessman Mehmet Karamehmet to develop oil fields in Iraqi Kurdistan. Born in Izmir and trained as a civil engineer at the Middle East Technical University in Ankara, he previously ran Epik Construction, an infrastructure firm active in Kosovo and Afghanistan. He divides his time between Ankara and Istanbul and has been recognized on international billionaire rankings for his oil industry wealth.
