Michael Hintze

Sir Michael Hintze is an Australian-British financier, businessman and philanthropist who founded the London-based asset management firm CQS in 1999. Born in Harbin, China, to Russian émigré parents and raised in Sydney, he served in the Australian Army before working at Salomon Brothers, Credit Suisse First Boston and Goldman Sachs, and later founded Deltroit Asset Management as well as the Australian agricultural group MH Premium Farms. He was knighted in 2013 and granted a life peerage in 2022, sitting in the House of Lords as Baron Hintze, and his estimated net worth is around $2.2 billion.
