Mike Lazaridis
Mike Lazaridis is a Canadian businessman, engineer, and philanthropist best known as the co-founder of Research In Motion, the company that created the BlackBerry smartphone, where he served as co-CEO. Born in 1961 and raised in Windsor, Ontario, he later co-founded Quantum Valley Investments in Waterloo with Doug Fregin in 2013 to commercialize breakthroughs in quantum information science, and he founded the Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics and the University of Waterloo's Institute for Quantum Computing. His net worth is estimated at approximately $2.0 billion.
