Paul Allen
Paul Allen (1953–2018) was an American businessman, investor, and philanthropist who co-founded Microsoft with Bill Gates in 1975. After leaving day-to-day work at Microsoft, he founded the investment firm Vulcan Inc. with his sister Jody Allen in 1986 to manage his business and philanthropic ventures across technology, media, real estate, and scientific research. He also owned the Seattle Seahawks of the NFL and the Portland Trail Blazers of the NBA, and had an estimated net worth of around $20 billion.
