Ricardo Salinas Pliego
Ricardo Benjamín Salinas Pliego (born 1955) is a Mexican businessman who is the founder and chairman of Grupo Salinas, a conglomerate with interests in retail, media, telecommunications, and financial services. He succeeded his father as chief executive of retailer Grupo Elektra in 1987 and founded the broadcaster TV Azteca in 1993 and the lender Banco Azteca in 2002. His estimated net worth is approximately $3.5 billion.
