Richard Handler

Richard B. Handler is an American businessman and the chairman and chief executive officer of Jefferies Financial Group, a New York-based global investment bank, a position he has held since 2001, making him the longest-serving CEO on Wall Street . He began his career as a bond trader at Drexel Burnham Lambert before joining Jefferies in 1990. Handler holds a bachelor's degree in economics from the University of Rochester and an MBA from Stanford University.
