Robert Friedland
Robert Friedland is an American-Canadian financier and entrepreneur best known for his work in the mining industry. He is the founder and co-chairman of Ivanhoe Mines, a Canadian mining company, and founder and chairman of Ivanhoe Capital Corporation, a private firm focused on financing mineral and energy resource projects in emerging markets. Over his decades-long career he has been involved in the discovery and development of major mineral deposits, including the Oyu Tolgoi copper-gold mine in Mongolia.
