Roman Arkadyevich Abramovich (born 24 October 1966) is a Russian businessman and investor who holds Russian, Israeli and Portuguese citizenship. He made his fortune in the oil industry as a co-owner of the company Sibneft, a stake he later sold to state-owned Gazprom, and he is the primary owner of the private investment company Millhouse. He served as Governor of the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug from 2000 to 2008 and was the owner of Chelsea Football Club in London from 2003 until 2022; his net worth is estimated at approximately $9.7 billion.
