Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jaber Al Thani, widely known by his initials HBJ, is a Qatari politician and businessman born in Doha in 1959 and a member of the ruling Al Thani family. He served as Foreign Minister of Qatar from 1992 to 2013 and as Prime Minister from 2007 to 2013, and chaired the Qatar Investment Authority sovereign wealth fund during his premiership. His estimated net worth is approximately $2.0 billion, and he is known for extensive international investments through entities such as Paramount Services Holdings, including a substantial stake in Deutsche Bank.
