Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan (born 1963) is an Emirati royal and politician, and a son of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the founding president of the United Arab Emirates. Since 2009 he has served as the Ruler's Representative in Abu Dhabi's Al Dhafra Region, having previously held roles including Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Deputy Prime Minister. He also chairs institutions such as the Environment Agency – Abu Dhabi and the Emirates Red Crescent, and has long been associated with humanitarian and environmental initiatives.
