Suleiman Kerimov
Suleiman Kerimov is a Russian businessman and politician of Lezgin descent, born in 1966 in Derbent, Dagestan. He built his fortune through his investment company Nafta Moskva and stakes in major Russian firms including Sberbank, Gazprom, and the gold producer Polyus, and his net worth is estimated at around $14 billion. Since 2008 he has served as a member of the Federation Council, the upper house of Russia's parliament, representing the Republic of Dagestan.
