Vardis Vardinogiannis (1933-2024) was a Greek businessman who served as chairman and controlling shareholder of Motor Oil Hellas and Vegas Oil and Gas. He built one of Greece's largest business groups over five decades, with interests spanning oil refining, shipping, banking, hotels and media. He was regularly listed among Forbes' World's Billionaires and recognized by Lloyd's List as one of the most influential people in shipping.
