Wafic Saïd
Wafic Rida Saïd (born 1939 in Damascus) is a Syrian-born Saudi-Canadian businessman, financier and philanthropist who has resided for many years in Monaco. After training as a banker in Switzerland, he built his fortune in the Saudi Arabian construction industry during the 1970s, with companies involved in major infrastructure projects such as airports, desalination plants, housing and hospitals. He is the founding benefactor of the Saïd Business School at the University of Oxford and the founder of the Saïd Foundation, an educational charity, with an estimated net worth of around $2.0 billion.
